Farah Khans cameo in SOTY
Celebrities doing cameos in films that are either directed or produced by their industry friends, is common in Bollywood. Now joining the bandwagon is choreographer turned director turned actress Farah Khan who will be seen doing a cameo in Karan Johar's Student Of The Year (SOTY).
Karan and Farah's friendship dates back several years, and it was for this very reason that the latter agreed to choreograph a couple of songs in SOTY. In fact taking it one step ahead, Farah has also done a special appearance in the film.
The said scene will feature Farah in her TV show image, as a dance competition judge, in one of the songs. What's more, the same track will feature Karan's lucky mascot Kajol as well making her special appearance.

PCs special request for her Indian fans
Priyanka Chopra is all set for her upcoming inaugural single as a singer. The actress, who will launch her music single and join the bandwagon of singers, has made a special request to NFL guys to show the song in India 4-5 hours in advance.
This decision was taken two days back at the Universal Music Label office as they felt if not the release, it could show case it to the people through media, considering PC as a recognized Indian artiste.
The National Football League (NFL) will remain the real location, encompassing the launch of her first music single and her as an artiste, representing India Internationally. However, the ceremony kept for her Indian audience is to be considered as a token ceremony.
Says a source close to the project, "Yes, Priyanka always wanted India to be the first one to get a glimpse of her "In My City" music and hence requested the team. She ensured this token ceremony, especially for her endearing fan followers!"
Internationally, singles get launched first and over a period of time an artiste launches their album. Priyanka Chopra's debut single "In My City,' featuring Will.I.Am and produced by RedOne (Lady Gaga) and Brian Kennedy will be the music bed for the intro to Thursday Night Kickoff of NFL. NFL kicks off on September 13 with a video featuring Priyanka and this song.

Priyanka to be honoured at her home-town Bareilly
After winning accolades from world over, Priyanka Chopra is now getting the royal treatment from her own country or should we say from her own hometown, Bareilly. PC, who is neck-deep busy with the promotions of her forthcoming film Barfi has received a special invitation from the Mayor of Bareilly who wants to honour the actress for her achievements.
Priyanka, a small town girl, has made it on her own not just in Bollywood but also in the international arena. She has brought immense pride for her hometown and family and despite scaling dizzying heights of success, the girl from Bareilly has always kept her roots very close to her and made them a part of her success equally. This is one of the biggest reasons why the people of Bareilly feel so connected with her and want to felicitate her in her own hometown where even the youngest kid is in awe of PC and look up to her as a shining example.
Needless to say, Priyanka is very touched by this invitation and is also very happy as she was anyway planning to visit her hometown and take blessings of her elders over there. She is very close to her family which is clearly evident by her 'Daddy's lil girl' tattoo on her hand too.
The last time PC was invited by the Mayor of Bareilly was when she won the coveted Miss World crown.
