The rise and rise of Anushka Sharma from being a relatively unknown name to an overnight sensation in Bollywood has been nothing but sensationally phenomenal!
No wonder then, she is on the wish list of every director, producer and brand manager! And after having signed up brands by a dozen, according to Bollywood Hungama's reliable sources, Anushka Sharma has now been signed up as the brand ambassador of the cosmetics major Elle 18.

Rajkumar Hirani rubbishes the rumors about PK
Raj Kumar Hirani is taken aback with number of rumours floating about the film being delayed or him not working on PK anymore. And what's interesting is that, while all this are being spoken and written about, he is busy with the recce of locations in Delhi. Raj Kumar Hirani's second unit has already started shooting on schedule almost 15 days back.
The whole schedule was that second unit would shoot in October and November. And the actual principal shooting or photography with talent would start in mid January, as Raju wanted to capture the early winter of Delhi.
Says Raj Kumar Hirani, "I have been on location hunt in interiors of Rajasthan and Delhi. Songs are being recorded for PK. All my energies are focused on the film. Nothing has changed. I wanted to capture the winter of Delhi and that's when we start shooting. We are on schedule." He also added that "Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma join the shooting in mid January. We would be announcing a young dynamic actor in the second lead in a week's time."

Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola shoot affected by cyclone in Punjab
The shoot of Vishal Bhardwaj's Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola starring Imran Khan and Anushka Sharma, in Punjab, was affected by the cyclone that hit the state. The force of the cyclone was so strong that it caused a 20 feet light tower to break and fall on the outdoor shoot which injured 5 unit members who were nearby.
The shoot was happening on the fields and due to the heavy rains and storm; the roads were blocked with fallen trees. The situation was so bad that the other unit members carried the injured on the shoulders to safe place from where the ambulance took them to the hospital. Thankfully, neither Imran nor Anushka were hurt in the incidents.
The three injured light boys were operated on late last night and two surgeries were done today morning. The condition of the injured unit members is being monitored closely, while the shoot has been stopped for the moment.
Says director Vishal Bhardwaj, âMy unit and I are extremely distressed by last night's cyclone. Our only heartfelt concern is for our colleagues who were hurt badly on the set.â While Fox Star studios India CEO, Vijay Singh adds, âThe incident is most unfortunate. Damage to the equipment, though heavy, is replicable, but our deep concern is for our injured unit members.â
The unit members who have finished 90 percent of the film with just over 14 days work remaining will start the shoot once the operations are successfully over.
