Deepika to perform at IPL opening ceremony

Deepika has been juggling her work since the beginning of this year. Apart from being tied down with her various film commitments and brand endorsements, she will be adding a live performance to her kitty. In fact Deepika will now be seen performing at the IPL opening ceremony in Kolkata.


Earlier, Deepika had performed at the IPL in 2010 and received umpteenth accolades. When she was approached this year, she was very keen however her schedule was very tight. Though initially Deepika was not sure if she could make time for practicing, the IPL team was extremely persuasive. Finally Deepika gave her nod


Currently shooting in Wai for Chennai Express, Deepika manages two hours for practice every day, post her pack up. Her performance is being choreographed by Geeta Kapur.


Apart from Deepika several A-list actors will be shaking a leg at the opening namely - Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. If that wasn't enough the audiences will also see Pitbull joining this wagon.


All in all, it is a very exciting year for Deepika. After her successful start with Race 2, she will be seen in Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, Ram Leela and Chennai Express this year.
