The Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara team is leaving no stone un-turned in its promotions and in capturing the strong Muslim flavour of the film. As part of the ongoing promotions of the film, a grand iftaar party has been organised at a suburban Mumbai hotel on the 6th of August, for which invitations are going out to the biggest names in Bollywood and also to non- film personalities.
Says a source, "Many top-level politicians and government officials are expected at the bash."
"The iftaar daawat will be a huge celebration. Besides Ekta and Tusshar Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Imran Khan, director Milan Luthria, Shatruji (Shatrughan Sinha) and Jeetuji (Jeetendra) are extending personal invitations for the bash," says Tanuj Garg, CEO, Balaji Motion Pictures.
As many as 400-500 guests are expected to attend the do, for which security has been beefed up.
That's not all, to add to the celebrations, a short qawwali performance by the Sabri Brothers has also been planned and the decor of the event venue will have an Arabic theme.
The food menu will comprise of traditional Eid delicacies. "Dates will be served to break the roza. For dinner, there will be many Mughlai specialties served such as Handi Biryani and Kebabs," adds the insider.
Coincidentally, Emraan Hashmi, who played the role of Shoaib in the prequel of OUATIMD, will also be present. A photo-op between the old and new Shoaibs, which is Akshay and Emraan, will surely be among the highlights of the keenly awaited party.
Audiences should gear up for an entertaining and exciting weekend episode of 'Ek Thhi Naayka'. This week audiences will be treated to a Lucknow based story starring Aamna Shariff and Bhanu Uday. Adding a surprise element in the show is Huma Qureshi who debuts on television with 'Ek Thhi Naayka'.
The story is based in Lucknow and revolves around the lives of a married couple Razia (Aamna Shariff) and Mohsin (Bhanu Uday). The duo who has been longing for a child for long, meet Gazal. Razia immediately takes a liking towards her and brings her home. However, Razia's happiness is short lived as the family falls prey to unforeseen incidents. When Razia decides to find out the reason, Huma who plays her friend steps in and help her out of the misery and reveals about the mystery of an influence of a daayan in their lives. Will Razia be able to find out the reason behind all the strange mishaps? Will she be able to find out about the daayan?
Meanwhile, Huma has finished shooting for the show and the pretty actress was seen bonding well with her co - star Aamna Shariff.
'Ek Thhi Naayak' is a thrilling eight-part promotional series for Vishal Bhardwaj and Balaji Motion Pictures' upcoming supernatural thriller - Ek Thi Daayan starring Emraan Hashmi, Kalki Koechlin, Konkona Sen Sharma and Huma.
Ranbir Kapoor in Barfi's 'un-muted' song
The actor has recently sung a song for the film's promotions called 'Phataphati' (Bengali for awesome), the first few lines of which are in Bengali, while the rest is in Hindi. Anurag and music composer Pritam too have contributed to the track's vocals.
