After the stupendous success of Student Of The Year, college campus movies seem to have gained a new boost! And now following similar footsteps is the T-series produced Yaariyan which has been now slated to release on January 10, 2014.
The film is said to be a youth based musical which will revolve around the carefree years of college life and friendship. Also, the venture will have a fresh cast of TV star Himanshu Kohli, Serah Singh, popular model Nicole Faria and many others.
Along with these debutants, Yaariyan will also have veterans like Deepti Naval and Gulshan Grover. The film is directed by Divya Khosla Kumar and produced by Bhushan Kumar.
He was a painter par excellence, who managed to give India its global standing on the international stage in arts; he is none other than Late M. F. Husain. Though the artist was in the midst of controversies towards the end of his life, due to some of his works, Bollywood seems to have taken a liking in him. In fact we now learn that there will soon be a film inspired by Husain's life.
Apparently, the said film will not be a biopic; instead it will be about an artist who gives back to society through his work. Directed by ad-man Shashank Shekhar, we hear that Gulshan Grover has been signed on to play the lead character inspired by Husain.
Gulshan will be seen sporting long hair coupled with Husain's trademark stubble and move around barefoot in the film.
