Heropanti to release on Valentines Day 2014
The year 2013 is turning out to be a landmark year for producer Sajid Nadiadwala. On April 6, 2013, Heropanti starring Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon goes on floor in Patiala. This is a significant date as almost two decades ago, Sajid's Judwaa starring Salman Khan started on the same day. Heropanti will release on Valentine's Day 2014.
A return to the classic genre of action-romance, Heropanti will have Sajid's wife Wardha and his mom giving the first clap for the film. There will be no traditional mahurat, as Sajid believes that he gets all the duas via the two women in his life who have been the bearers of good luck for him.
Excited about getting the film started, Sajid says, "I have always believed in giving breaks to deserving people. So far I have given breaks to many leading ladies and young directors. I have full faith in Tiger and his talent. This boy is going to redefine action and dance, the way Bollywood sees it. Working with newcomers has its own energies and I am looking forward to this shoot."
Heropanti will hit the theatres on Feb 14, 2014.

Nadiadwala signs Anushka Ranjan for his next
A few weeks ago, Sajid Nadiadwala signed Tamannaah Bhatia as the lead actress opposite Tiger Shroff in Heropanti. And now, the news is that Nadiadwala has signed yet another newcomer Anushka Ranjan. In fact Sajid will be launching Anushka, the elder daughter of Anu and Shashi Ranjan, in his next venture.
Though the details of the film are yet unavailable, Anushka's father Shashi confirms the deal, stating that Sajid has taken Anushka under his wings and is mentoring her for a mega project which will go on the floors in mid 2013.
However, confirmation from Nadiadwala's office regarding the same is still awaited.

Sajid Nadiadwala to direct Kick
It's now confirmed! Sajid Nadiadwala, producer of several successful films such as Judwaa, Jeet, Mujhse Shaadi Karoge, Heyy Babyy, Housefull, and Housefull 2 will be making his directorial debut with Salman Khan starrer Kick. The film was supposed to be initially directed by Shirish Kunder but since the last few days, there have been murmurs that Shirish is no longer part of the project.
Shirish Kunder, whose film Joker released yesterday to a tepid response, tweeted, "Sajid Nadiadwala will be directing KICK. He had originally envisioned the project and I feel he is the best person to bring it to life. I'll continue with my efforts to make original films and bring novel stories in a mainstream format. Remakes for now do not interest me. It is easy for me to do what everyone else is doing or what is working. But I'll always choose to attempt something new with every film."
Sajid Nadiadwala will be now both producing and directing Kick. The film is a remake of a Telugu film of the same name which released in 2009.

Salman locks Sher Khan for Eid 2013
Even before Salman Khan's mandatory Eid release for 2012 is out, his Eid 2013 project has just been finalized.
Salman wants his brother Sohail Khan's Sher Khan to be his Eid 2013 release. And Sohail who had no clue about Salman's plans (probably because Salman himself doesn't know what he is planning) is thrown into a frenzy to finish pre-production and start shooting to make it into the Eid deadline.
Says a source close to the project, "With Dabangg 2 locked for release in Aamir Khan's Christmas slot, the question of which film would make it into Salman's Eid 2013 slot was being seriously discussed. Since it was a relatively simpler film to make, Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick was expected to be ready before Sher Khan which is going to be Salman's most complicated film in terms of technique. Sohail needed a full year at least to shoot the film and then at least another 3 months for post-production as the film requires extensive special effects. Now to meet the Eid deadline he must complete the entire film, post-production included, in 10 months. But Bhai is keen to bring Sher Khan for next Eid. It's his gift to his kid fans. And as of now he won't be doing any other film after Dabangg 2, except Sher Khan."
Sohail who has gone into the fast-forward mode said, "Eid 2013 is really cutting it close. But I am definitely going to make an effort to make it for Eid next year. I hope to finish the final draft of the script by August and then quickly assemble the cast and crew. Inshallah, we roll in November and release for Eid."
