Miss India 2nd runner up Zoya was a child artist
The Femina Miss India beauty pageant has always been a stepping stone for models to turn actresses in B-town. Many of our Bollywood actresses such as Priyanka Chopra, Lara Dutta, Dia Mirza, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sushmita Sen etc first came into prominence after winning or ending up as a runner-up in Miss India beauty pageant.
However Zoya Afroz (who was crowned second runner-up yesterday at Miss India pageant) has already acted in a couple of films. Zoya used to be a popular child artist during her younger days and has acted in films like Hum Saath Saath Hain and Kuch Naa Kaho. Besides the 18 year old who originally hails from Lucknow has also done a Punjabi film.
One wonders if Zoya will once again return to Bollywood now that she has won the prestigious crown.
