seriously? have you even watched the movie? This movie is a tribute to the women who used to star in india’s film industry. It’s about the way these women were sexualized and simultaneously punished for their sexuality. The movie explores an actresses attempt at living life on her own terms and it shows how she fails because of the sexist nature of the film industry. There’s nothing trashy about this movie. It IS art. And Vidya is incredibly talented and brave for taking on the role

I have read and heard many comments about this being a trashy movie. I respectfully disagree. The loosely based biopic was handled well and any salacious scenes made, pertained to the story. I loved it!
